Pardon me, I'm very late with my new years resolutions, but I promise I've been working in the wings on my latest crazy tea-dreams. I'm learning to juggle. That is not a metaphor for how I need to balance my schedule, or excel at multitasking -starting with keeping up with the teamail & blog updates. No, I'm actually learning to keep three objects up in the air at the same time. Right now, those objects are sand-filled balloons (which sound a lot like gunfire when they hit the floor, much to dismay of my downstairs neighbors) and these custom made juggling balls (courtesy of the creative genious, Katie O'Keefe)
Behold! Teacup shaped juggling balls. One small (and less fragile) stepping stone on the way to my dream - to effortlessly juggle porcelain tea cups on stilts (because juggling teaware is not exciting enough). I'm resolved to practice juggling everyday until I can perform epic tea time successfully. Someday I'd like to organize a whole traveling tea-circus, inspired by the great tea performers (that I can find on youtube). I've compiled a list of inspiring epic tea feats for your viewing pleasure. I've not yet found someone juggling teacups, but, I'v seen epic pouring, pulling, balancing, and music making - and I'm far from discouraged. Prepare to be impressed.
